 Meroney Welcomes You Minimize

Meroney United Methodist Church is centrally located in Chatham County. Meroney UMC has served the Bear Creek community for over 200 years. Meroney's congregation is represented through diverse groups in the local and surrounding communities.

Sunday services begin at 10:00am with Open Assembly and Sunday School and continues to the 11:00am Worship Hour. We sincerely invite you to come worship with us and become part of our church family.

We offer many activities for both children and young adults through UMYF and offer courses of enrichment for others in our congregation through Bible study and special activities.

Meroney is very active in many community projects locally and statewide. It is our belief that through these works we can demonstrate God's love to us.

Please come join us for worship whenever you can and we guarantee that you will feel an immediate connection to those in the congregation and a closer relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord.

Mission Statement

The misson of the church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by proclaiming the good news of God's grace and thus seeking the fulfillment of God's reign and realm in the world.

We accomplish this mission by 1) Loving our neighbor and doing things to attract people to our church, 2) then linking this person in ministry and in relationship with other followers of Christ whether in mission or Bible Study, and then 3 by launching each person out to spread the gospel message of Jesus Christ.
